Three Little Chicks
Mo, Amma, and Lee
Barnyard fowl ate the dung beetle. Until
three little chicks found a grain of truth.
"It is bitter. Spit it out! Spit it out!" cried Big Turkey.
"No no! It is sweet." replied the chicks.
Pin-Ducks echoed
"spit it out! Spit it out!"
Most other birds ignored the chicks. Yet
one by one, they tried the grain and found it sweet.
Still, Big Turkey and the Pin-Ducks
stayed the course, begging
"spit it out! Spit it out!"
Turkey Day came and went.
Barnyard birds no longer eat the dung beetle. Instead
they scratch around for sweet grains of truth. And
only a few Pin-Ducks still quack
"spit it out. Spit it out."
